CHOOSING an outfit for your birthday can often be a tricky task.
But superstar Beyonce showed that it sometimes proves a good idea to make a statement as she put on a colourful display to celebrate her big day.
The singer, 42, wore a skintight multi-coloured catsuit, with a fun, retro-chequered print as she took to the stage in Los Angeles for her Renaissance World Tour.
A host of famous faces were in attendance, including the Duchess of Sussex, who was photographed alongside US actress Kerry Washington and Beyonce’s former bandmate Kelly Rowland.
Meghan also attended the concert on Friday night with Prince Harry and was pictured dancing the night away in a private box alongside her mother Doria Ragland and Suits co-star Abigail Spencer.

The double appearance at Beyonce’s gigs comes amid talk of an upcoming relaunch for Meghan.
Last month a new Instagram handle @meghan was reported, with experts predicting the Duchess could make $1million (£790,000) per post as ‘an absolute minimum’.
Others famous faces on Monday night included singers Adele, Katy Perry and Justin Bieber with his wife Hailey, and actors Zendaya, Tom Holland and Kate Hudson.
Those lucky enough to be in the 70,000 star-studded capacity crowd were also treated to a surprise as the singer was serenaded by Diana Ross.
The Motown legend led the audience in singing Happy Birthday with the likes of Kylie Jenner and Timothee Chalamet joining in.

Beyonce thanked the 79-year-old before delivering a passionate speech, thanking her fans, family and the original members of her group Destiny’s Child.
She said: ‘My soul is full. I’m so thankful, I’m trying not to cry. I’m thankful to be alive. I’m thankful to be on stage. I’m thankful to look out and see your faces.
‘I’m thankful to be able to provide a safe space for all of y’all. I’m thankful for music, for the ability to heal myself through music which then heals all of you.’
Earlier this year, Beyonce made headlines when the price of tickets for her shows in Cardiff, Edinburgh and London was blamed for a higher than expected inflation rate of 8.7 per cent in May.
The cost of hotels in cities on the tour also rose, with rooms in Cardiff going for as much as £1,000 a night.
