In a heartfelt revelation, popular musician David Adeleke, aka Davido has opened up about the impact his late son, Ifeanyi, had on the concept of the album artwork for his latest project, “Timeless”.
Davido shared the inspiration behind the album design in a recent interview posted online on Friday.
According to him, Ifeanyi, who passed on October 31, 2022, in the middle of Davido recording “Timeless”, had a deep love for trees and nature in general, with a particular fondness for elephants, which he considered adorable creatures.
To honour Ifeanyi’s memory, Davido said he poured his grief into completing the “Timeless” album.
He also revealed that Ifeanyi was present in the studio while he recorded over half of the songs.
Additionally, he mentioned that the bird positioned in the corner of the album art actually represents Ifeanyi himself.
With Ifeanyi’s presence in the studio and the bird symbolizing his spirit on the album cover, Davido has created a lasting tribute to his late son.
