After years of delays, the Kardashians were preparing to go to trial when this episode was being filmed, with Kris briefly addressing the lawsuit in confession.
Kylie Jenner was paying a visit to Kris, who has MJ over, as Kylie likes her mom’s hair, as Kris says she’s letting it grow out, adding Kylie hasn’t been out since the baby, before addressing the lawsuit in confession.
‘It’s always so special spending time with Kylie but we also have this trial looming over our head,’ Kris began.
‘Blac Chyna is suing myself, Khloe, Kylie and Kim for defamation of character and interference of contract,’ Kris explains.
She adds that, ‘as a mom, I’m very protective of my kids, and on top of that, it’s really draining, it’s emotionally, spiritually, and physically exhausting to be going through this.’
Kris adds in confession that she, ‘can’t really say anything about it right now, I really don’t want to add to the drama, but I want to take my mind off of it right now so I want to spend some time with Kylie.’
Curiously, the second episode was revealed to be filmed six months BEFORE the first episode of Season 2, which debuted last week.
The second episode begins with Khloe Kardashian finally opening up about how she felt about Tristan Thompson’s cheating scandal, before the episode is ‘rewound’ from late July 2022 to early February 2022.
The trial began in April 2022, but it didn’t last long, with the jury finding on May 2, 2022 that The Kardashians were not guilty of defaming Blac Chyna, who shares daughter Dream with Rob Kardashian.
She alleged that Kris Jenner made claims that Blac Chyna assaulted Rob Kardashian and that lead to the cancelation of their E! spin-off Rob & Chyna.
The jury, however, found the Kardashians did not defame her and owe her no damages whatsoever.
She also filed paperwork in August to end her longtime legal battle with Rob Kardashian over claims of revenge.
The 34-year-old reality star had come to a settlement on the issue with Kardashian, 35, in June, and on Friday requested the Los Angeles County Superior Court dismiss the revenge claim with prejudice, People reported after reviewing documents in the case.
The action would put an end to the ongoing legal issue and prohibit future claims in connection with the case between the former lovers, who are parents to daughter Dream Renée, five.
