Netflix confirms ‘Stranger Things’ stage play and spinoff are in the works

The fourth season of “Stranger Things” has exploded in ratings, and now there are Netflix and the Duffer brothers who are preparing for the final season. They have also announced more derivative plans based on this big IP . 

The Duffer brothers have recently launched a new company called Upside Down Pictures (yes, that’s the name of the evil world in Stranger Things), which will be run by Hilary Leavitt, the producer of Black Money Land and Orphan Black. , will work on “creating stories that inspire the Duffer brothers to grow”.

The company will follow up with a Stranger Things stage play directed by Emmy Award winner Stephen Daldry, as well as a new Stranger Things side story. 


In addition, Netflix has also confirmed that it will continue to cooperate with the Duffer brothers to adapt the Japanese classic comic “Death Note” into a live-action series. An adaptation of Stephen King and Peter Straub’s fantasy novel The Talisman is also planned, with Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Entertainment providing Netflix and Upside Down.
