After a lapse of 5 months, Nubia’s Z40 Pro ushered in a successor product based on Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 , but this new phone does not pursue the differentiated characteristics of magnetic charging. The biggest selling point of the newly launched Z40S Pro may be the thin and light body that is 8.05mm thick and weighs 205g after being plugged into a 5,000mAh battery.
At the same time, the 6.67-inch flat AMOLED screen with extremely narrow bezels (0.95mm on the forehead, 1.46mm on the left and right) is also quite visually impressive. Officials claim that its screen ratio has reached 94.8%.
In addition to 8+ Gen 1, the Z40S Pro also has LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage, and uses a cooling system based on a VC vapor chamber and diamond thermal gel. The resolution of the panel is FHD+, the update rate reaches 144Hz and the touch sampling rate is 480Hz. At the same time, DTS Ultra dual speakers and X-axis linear motor are also installed in the machine to enhance the gaming experience. Although there is no magnetic wireless charging, this device still supports 80W wired fast charging.
In the shooting part, a 16MP selfie camera is hidden in the opening in the top middle of the front. The rear main camera is still unconventional in terms of focal length selection. The combination of 64MP Sony IMX787, 35mm f/1.6 lens and optical shock resistance will be more suitable for expressing humanities in daily life. Nubia Z40S Pro will be available in 8+128, 8+256, 12+256 and 12+512 models, priced between RMB 3,399 and RMB 4,499. If you pursue faster charging speed, the manufacturer has also added a version that supports 120W wired fast charging, but the battery will be reduced to 4,600mAh. The 120W version is available in 12+256 and 18+1TB configurations, priced at 4,299 and 6,699 RMB. The 12+256 “Ling Cage” special edition is priced at RMB 4,699, and all new products are available for pre-order in mainland China from now on.
