After updating the 6th generation iPad mini to iPad OS 15.5 , a memo sent to a service provider obtained by the US media MacRumors revealed that there was a problem that charging stopped .
Symptoms reappear even after initialization
A note sent to Apple’s authorized service provider states that “Apple is aware that some users report that they can no longer charge after updating their latest iPad mini to iPad OS 15.5 .” It is said that there is. Apple is currently investigating the issue and is instructing service providers and retail staff to re-boot their devices as a temporary remedy. US media 9to5Mac reports similar posts on Apple’s support forums.
The forum post says, “Cannot charge. Charging will stop immediately after starting charging. I have tried multiple outlets, cables and adapters. 2 initializations / restores, multiple normals. I did a shutdown / reset. It only took about 3 days to resolve and I had to re-initialize and reset the software. ” Apple is currently testing a beta version of the iPad OS 15.6, but the issue may have been resolved when it’s released to the public.
