Twitter took the lead with a small victory against Elon Musk. After an earlier hearing , Delaware Court Justice Kathaleen McCormick has agreed to a five-day hearing in October for the two sides’ takeover dispute. 

While the timing is a bit later than Twitter originally wanted in September, the case is hopeful that a case will be settled before the takeover offer expires on Oct. 24.

Musk’s legal team has previously stated that Twitter’s “sudden acceleration” after two months of delay was to cover up the truth of spam accounts. 

Their original plan was to wait until at least February 13, 2023, before confronting Twitter in court, but this wishful thinking was clearly in vain.
