A year and a half ago , Ultimate Ears tapped a little bit of its own custom-made earbuds with UE Fits , the true wireless earbuds. However, earplugs made by only 60 seconds of automatic shaping will eventually be limited in sound quality and function. In this case, the manufacturer has now decided to use its own IEM customization experience on true wireless products, so UE Drops came into being.
After placing an order for the unit, users receive a FitKit pickup kit from Ultimate Ears. You need to use the shaper in the bag to make a pair of your own ear prints according to the instructions of the companion app (the whole process is not much different from the 60 seconds of UE Fits shaping). After picking up the print, you only need to send the ear print to the manufacturer, and then wait 2 to 4 weeks to receive the exclusive earphone.

In addition to the personalized earbud shape, the UE Drops itself has a built-in 9.2mm unit. It does not have active noise reduction function, and the sound insulation is basically achieved by the high sealing performance of custom earplugs. However, the manufacturer also added the most common sound-transmitting function to it.
The headset is equipped with dual beamforming microphones and is dust-proof and waterproof. In addition, it also supports touch and wear detection. The battery life of the headset body is up to 8 hours, and the charging box that supports wireless charging can provide 14 hours of additional power (5 minutes of charging can give you 1 hour of listening).
UE Drops is currently the first to be listed in the United States, with a price of US$449, and the release plan for other regions has not yet been determined.
